Part of the Lowcountry’s appeal is that it has something for everyone. For home buyers in search of some privacy without wanting to forgo comfort or convenience, the North Mount Pleasant/ Huger area fits the bill. National builder D.R. Horton noted the location’s exponential growth, which led them to develop The Bridges at Seven Lakes, an Emerald Homes neighborhood.
The Bridges at Seven Lakes is a wooded enclave of one- and two-story single-family homes on the outskirts of the Francis Marion National Forest. Prospective home buyers can choose from 11 distinct floor plans, ranging from 1,672 to 3,475 square feet. Home shoppers have their choice of everything from first-floor living options to six-bedroom, four-bathroom homes, all at affordable prices.
Each available floor plan in phase one boasts coveted features. These include hardwood floors, granite countertops and stainless-steel appliances. Formal dining rooms and gourmet kitchens make for effortless entertaining. Additional home highlights are spacious living areas, oversized walk-in closets and first- and second-floor owners’ retreats.
D.R. Horton City Manager Bryan Doster said current residents have lauded the neighborhood’s “beautiful community design,” along with the seven scenic lakes responsible for the development’s name. This includes a sprawling 65-acre lake with “tremendous views.” Doster added that residents love coming home to lakefront views, quaint seclusion and serenity at the end of their long, hard days.
With a national forest as their next-door neighbor, homeowners can experience 259,000 acres of hiking trails just beyond their doorstep. But residents need not leave the neighborhood to enjoy themselves – they’ll soon have exclusive access to “unparalleled amenities” within the development’s proposed five-acre community park. Standout park features will include a resort-style swimming pool, a pickleball court and a fire pit featuring breathtaking lake views. The park will also offer a large lake deck complete with kayak and small-craft launches.
While the neighborhood offers a sense of tranquility and privacy, it is not far away from the area’s top amenities. The Bridges at Seven Lakes is conveniently located just a short drive from all the best Mount Pleasant has to offer. Shopping is close by, as are the beaches and many of the area’s top dining options. Residents are able to experience the faster pace of Mount Pleasant then return home to their quiet, wooded retreat.
Doster said D.R. Horton is thrilled about what the neighborhood can offer to families looking for a peaceful yet convenient Lowcountry lifestyle.
“We are excited about the growth of the area and the amenities it supplies to our residents,” he said.
